The setting of this book seems to be from the middle ages or earlier because they use swords for weapons. There are five kingdoms, two are isolated and passive, and the other three are constantly at war with each other. I think this will affect the plot of the story because the main character is a kings niece, and she works for her uncle. Since she's of nobility and the kings strong arm and assassin she will get into a lot of important things politically. Also I think she will get into trouble during missions, and she will experience a lot of danger.

I like how they give the options of weapon when they are in auditions. I think Katniss will go very far in the hunger games. Maybe even win the games. She has alot of built up anger and needs a place to let it out, and this is the place. I think she needs to work on other technices for fighting and survival.

The setting of Graceling is in a medieval area with 5 different territories each ruled by a separate ruler. In the story it’s already revealed that 3 of the nations are constantly at conflict with each other while the other 2 nations are keeping to themselves and avoiding conflict whenever possible.
I think that the main reason the setting will have an impact is because the book will probably go into more detail about the areas and the politics between them. The main character, being related to one of the rulers along with being a personally assassin is bound to be caught up in the politics.

In the setting of "Graceling" it is in late midevil era where there are to different types of people normal and graced they are Normally with graces (their special talent) such as wood working or cooking. Since it is midevil times there is rankings between each and woman were usually some of the lowest of the ranking and the main character is female so she is limited to her rights but that can be different from any kingdom

In "Graceling" there are 4 main characters. Kitsa (the protagonist) is the female with the grace for killing. She is ordered by her king to do something involving hurting people in some way. Kitsa hardly ever does it in the way he imagined her doing it. She is usually not able to always get along with others because she is a perfectionist if a job has to be done she wants a 100% success in it. Kitsa has 4 companions she looks after and sometimes she is to harsh on them. Kitsa also has a memory of her accidentally killing a distant cousin where she learned about her grace in killing.

The direct characteration of the main character in Graceling is that they say she is strong, a good fighter and is a tough willed person. I think this is important because it shows how common people of the different kingdoms see her,and I think that later in the book her fighting skills will be useful. The indirect characteration is that she was nice to the little girl in the inn and was grateful for her friend to make that happen. This shows that she is kind and a compassionate person even though her grace is killing. I believe that this is important to the story because later on in the book she might have to make some tough choices

In graceling the main character’s named Katsa, and is a person graced with killing. Some of the main traits about her that are said outright is that she’s unfriendly, an amazing fighter, and she has dark hair and 2 different colored eyes, one green and one blue. Although it’s never said it’s pretty obvious she’s a violent person. She also seems to hate attention and does her best to try not to stand out in a crowd. She also seems to dislike killing even though she is graced with it like when she decided to knock all the guards out instead of killing them.

I think that the book Graceling is a great book because it keeps your attention and stays interesting thought the whole book. It also has all the components of a good book, Action, A background love story, and an interesting plot. I believe that the authors writing style meshed great with the book and made it more enjoyable because of this. I would recommend this book to friends and anyone else that hasn’t read the book before, because I think most people would enjoy it even if they don’t like books about magic. Overall the book Graceling is a book that is good for any type of reader.

I honestly was a huge fan of the book Graceling. The book was able to keep my attention most of the time and although it had some boring parts they were few and far between. The boring part I’m referring to is the parts going into detail about her and another character’s relationship, which I relize many other people would enjoy. The entire storyline was great from start to end and the atmosphere of it was pretty good too. I would easily recommend this book to just about anyone as it seems like it has something for everyone.

I love the Po doesn't pressure Katsa to like be a princess or anything. A lot of times books take it way to fast and by the end they're like already married or something. It's a shame about Po's eyes but everything is okay in the end. 10/10 recommend Fire and Bitterblue (bitterblue is sad though like you better ready yourself from some angst) I love how reasonable Katsa is
