I think it"s interesting how Janie can go in to people's dreams. For example she got into Luke Drake dream. The setting of Wake has been at a highschool called Fieldridge High. I think the setting will be important to the novel because i think a major conflict may occur at the school. The main characters are Janie (the girl who goes into people's dreams)Carrie, Melinda,Luke Drake.Janeie goes into people's and has a pretty good idea of how people are feeling. Carrie is her next door neighbor/friend who kinda just lives how ever she wants even if it's not proper or apropriate. Melinda is another freind who is rich and speaks the truth even though it may be rude.Luke goes to Janie's school and he is a football player. Janie tried to get into his dream. He is also Carrie's crush.

the setting effects the character because if she is by someone who falls asleep, she automatically falls asleep too and dreams about what they are dreaming. it can happen if shes on a bus or in a library or even at a friends house. it happened one time in a car which could of hurt her. the setting impacts her because she can see what people are dreaming about as long as shes by them.but it can lead into something bad because if she is in a car and someone in a house by her is asleep, she could possibly crash the car. some have also had nightmares which scares janie.
